Traveller Details
Passport
Passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Australia.
High Resolution scans of all passport pages containing immigration stamps and visas, are required.
This applies to the current passport as well as the two most recent expired passports. The scanned pages should encompass the bio-data page, observations page, and the back page of each passport.
Aadhar
Full scanned copy of Aadhar (OR) Copy of e-Aadhar.
Occupation Details
Employed
Provide the following company letters on official letterhead, including the applicant's name, designation, and signature of the authorized signatory:
Leave Sanction letter (OR) No Objection Certificate.
Payslips of last 3 months.
Company Appointment Letter (if the applicant has recently switched the company).
Self-employed
Include the following documents:
Cover Letter on official business letterhead.
Valid proof of Business Registration Certificate, such as GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership Deed, MOA, etc.
Student
Provide any one of the below documents from the Institution containing the applicants name:
Bonafide certificate (OR) Leave letter from educational institution (OR) Student identity card copy.
Retired
Retirement Proof
Pension slip for the last 3 months.
Financial Details
Bank Statement
Applicant has to present either their own bank-statement, or the sponsor's statement if they are sponsored by a blood relative or spouse.
Bank statement should be for last 6 months with bank's sign & seal or E-Statement showing healthy closing balance and cash flow.
ITR
For Partners, LLPs, or Directors: Business ITR for the last 3 years is required along with personal ITR.
For Employed Individuals: 3 years' ITR or Form 16 (Part A & Part B) is required.
For Self-Employed Individuals: 3 years' Personal / Company ITR is required.
Additional Requirements
Specific Mandates
All documents should be in English. If a document is in any other language, an official translation of the same should be submitted.
Embassy or Consulate may request additional documents or personal interview with the applicant on a case-by-case basis.
Covering Letter
Stating applicant's purpose of visit and personal details addressed to the Embassy of Australia, New Delhi.
Conditional Requirements
Medical Requirement
Health insurance is optional. However, passengers aged 75 and above are required to undergo medical examinations conducted by panel doctors.
Note: If the duration of stay exceeds three months, a medical report is mandatory for all applicants.
Sponsor documents
Sponsorship letter from the sponsor stating the applicants details and particulars for the trip.
Employment proof of the sponsor.
Bank-statement of the sponsor.
Government ID proof (Passport, Driving license, PAN card) of the sponsor if the sponsor is from India.
If the sponsor is from Australia, then passport/driving license copy of the sponsor.
Minor Travelling with One Parent
Written consent from the non-accompanying parent or guardian, along with a signed copy of their passport or photo ID.
If the accompanying person has sole custody or guardianship, provide relevant proof.
If applicable, include a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent.
Valid passport copy of travelling parent.
Minor Travelling Alone
Obtain written consent from both parents or legal guardians.
Provide signed copies of the passports or photo IDs of the parents or legal guardians.
If applicable, include a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parents.
Marriage certificate
Applicable, if the spouses name is not mentioned at the back of the passport.
Staying with friends and family.
Invitation letter from the invitee.
Visa Copy or Resident Permit along with the ID/Passport of the inviting person.
Address proof of the Invitor with the permanent address and contact number of the inviting person.
